Yes. Each company can use Microsoft sign-in, and can make it the only way to sign in. Otherwise staff use an email and password, and can turn on two-factor sign-in.

What happens if someone enters the wrong password too many times?

After repeated failed attempts, the account is locked for a short time and the lockout is recorded in the audit log.

Which taxes and deductions does payroll calculate?

PAYE under the Nigeria Tax Act 2025.
Employee and employer pension.
NHF, if your company opts in.
NSITF.
A minimum-wage floor.

Contract staff and interns are paid a flat amount with PAYE only.

Can we re-run payroll after changing something?

Yes, as often as you need, until Finance locks the run. Re-running sends the month back to HR review and clears any earlier approval.

Who approves payroll?

HR runs and submits payroll, and a role with payroll approval (usually the managing director) approves it. Finance locks it and marks it paid. The person who submits a run can't approve it.

Do we have to approve leave in two steps?

No. Leave can be approved by the line manager alone, or by the line manager and then HR. An administrator chooses which.

Do public holidays count as leave days?

Leave requests count weekdays. Praxis generates Nigerian public holidays each year, and they're excluded from working days in payroll.

How are loan repayments collected?

Monthly repayments are deducted through payroll automatically. Each repayment is recorded as settled when that month's payroll is marked paid.

Can new hires complete their paperwork before their first day?

Yes. HR sends them a secure link, valid for 14 days. They complete their details, upload ID, sign policies and nominate a guarantor, without needing an account.

Where are documents stored?

In Praxis's own database by default. An administrator can choose SharePoint or S3-compatible storage for each company instead.

Can a manager see employees outside their team?

No. Department managers see their direct reports, and the hiring activity of departments they head.

Can we bring our existing data into Praxis?

Yes. You can import employees, assets and existing staff loans from Excel templates.

Is there a mobile app?

No. Praxis is a web application that works on phones, tablets and computers, so there's nothing to install.

Is our data shared with other organisations?

No. Each customer has its own Praxis deployment and its own database.
